The WEST-E Visual Arts exam is for hopeful teachers in the state of Washington. This test assesses the competency of the individual’s knowledge and skills related to Visual Arts. Passing this exam is crucial to becoming a state licensed, public school, visual arts educator in Washington. On this test, one will find approximately 110 questions, and will be given 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the questions. The content is divided into 4 categories: (I) Visual Arts Knowledge and Skills, (II) Thinking Skills in the Visual Arts, (III) Visual Arts in Historical and Cultural Context, and (IV) Connections Between Visual Arts, Other Disciplines, and Work.
