PMP Certification
The Project Management Professional Certification is a designation that is internationally recognized meaning that you can work anywhere in any industry and in any location. This certification shows that the designated individual has the knowledge and skills that are needed to lead project teams and help achieve successful project results.
The PMP Certification exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions. Out of those 200 questions, 25 are “sample” questions that do not count towards your final score. There are five domain areas, called project management Process Groups that are covered on the PMP certification exam:
- Initiating
• Planning
• Executing
• Monitoring and Controlling
• Closing
Out of these five Project Management Process Group domain areas, there are 10 project management Knowledge Areas such as Project Schedule Management and Project Cost Management.
To be eligible to sit for the PMP Certification exam, you must meet these requirements:
• A secondary degree such as a high school diploma, associate’s degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years or 60 months of professional project management where at least 7,500 hours were spend leading and directing the project
•35 contact hours of Project Management education
OR
• Four-year degree (bachelors or equivalent)
• A minimum of three years or 36 months of professional project management where at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project
• 35 contact hours of Project Management education
CAPM Certification
The Certified Associate in Project Management is a certification for entry-level project management. This certification shows that the individual has the basic understanding, terminology, and processes of project management. This certification opens up doors for your career in project management.
The CAPM Certification exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions that must be completed within three hours. There are 13 learning objectives on the CAPM Certification exam:

To be eligible to sit for the CAPM Certification exam, you must meet these requirements:
• Have a secondary diploma such as a high school diploma or equivalent
• 1,500 hours of professional experience on a project team

• 23 contact hours of formal Project Management Education
