The job of a Bridge and Tunnel officer is to perform the various duties that are concerned with vehicular traffic on the bridge and within the tunnel facilities of the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority in New York City. • Have a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of full-time experience in a position classified as Police Officer, or classified as a Peace Officer, or a position designed as a Special Patrolman, or have a position in Federal law enforcement or in law enforcement in other states or municipalities.
OR
• Six years of active service in the Army Reserve, the Army National Guard, the Navy Reserve, the Air National Guard, the Marine Corps Reserve, or the Coast Guard Reserve with an honorable discharge.
• You must be at least 17 ½ years old when you take the exam and have reached the age of 21 to be appointed as a Correction Officer.
• Must have a New York State learner’s permit at the time of your appointment and must keep a valid driver license from the State of New York prior to graduating from the Department of Correction Academy.
• Have proof of good character and a satisfactory background.

A School Safety Agent patrols designated areas of school buildings to help identify and prevent infiltration and unlawful or prohibited items from entering the school building.
