General Nursing Scholarships
1. Nurse Corps Scholarship
Students who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in a nursing program may be eligible to receive the Nurse Corps Scholarship, which assists with tuition and provides a monthly stipend. In exchange, upon completing your nursing program, you will work at a qualified facility that has a shortage of nurses. Some of the eligibility requirements for applying for this scholarship include being a U.S. citizen and not having any federal liens against you. Learn more
2. A Nurse I Am Scholarship
Two documentaries, both entitled A Nurse I Am, were created by Cherokee Uniforms to encourage nurses to continue to make a positive impact within the field. In line with the films, a scholarship bearing the same name was developed to further inspire nursing students. Currently enrolled nursing students may submit an application and 300-word essay to be considered for the $2,000 scholarship. Learn more
3. Mometrix Nursing Scholarships
Enter for a chance to win one of two nursing scholarships, provided by Mometrix Test Preparation. All you need to do is write and submit (by 05/14/2021), an essay of a maximum of 2,000 characters that explains what inspired you to pursue a nursing degree. All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges. The first-place scholarship is for $750, while second place is $400. Learn more
4. Back to School Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is open to all individuals wanting to pursue a nursing degree. The prize, in the amount of $2,500, will be awarded four times a year (to four different recipients). The submission deadlines are January 31, April 30, July 30, and October 31. Learn more
5. Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship
The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is awarded by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Students who demonstrate financial need and can provide proof of acceptance to or current enrollment in a nursing program, are eligible to apply for this scholarship. 6. Touchmark Foundation Nursing Scholarship
The Touchmark Foundation offers scholarships to students studying nursing. It specifically focuses on applicants in geriatric nursing. The scholarship is geared toward students who live in or are pursuing their degree in Arizona, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin, and Alberta, Canada. 7. Nurses Make a Difference Scholarship
The Nurses Make a Difference Scholarship is sponsored by Cascade Healthcare Solutions. The award amount is $1,000. Students who have been accepted into an undergraduate nursing program, or are currently attending one, are eligible to apply. A GPA of 3.0 and essay accompanying the scholarship application are required. Learn more
8. AfterCollege and AACN Scholarship Fund
The AfterCollege and AACN Scholarship Fund provides four $2,500 scholarships per year, one per quarter. Applicants must currently be enrolled in a nursing program, working towards a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. Special consideration is given to those enrolled in an accelerated program, seeking to become a nurse educator, or completing an RN to BSN or MSN program. Learn more
9. B4 Brands Barbara Rhomberg Nursing Scholarship
Each year, one scholarship is awarded to a non-traditional nursing student who is studying full-time. The $1,000 award will be sent directly to the winner’s university/college. Applications must be postmarked by March 31st. The winner will be announced on May 1st. Learn more
10. Coursey Enterprises Student Scholarship
Nursing students in their first year are eligible to apply for this $250 scholarship. All applicants must be a U.S. citizen. An essay must be submitted with your application. Learn more
11. Frances L. Moore Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a nursing student who exhibits outstanding academic success and financial need. The award amount varies, depending on available resources. It may be renewable. Learn more
12. Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarship
Four times a year, the Geraldine Polly Bednash Scholarship is given to two different deserving recipients. Some of the eligibility requirements of this scholarship include a 3.2-grade point average and drafting an essay on your education/career goals. Each scholarship is in the amount of $5,000. 13. Hurst Review Services/AACN Nursing Scholarship
The Hurst Review Services/AACN Nursing Scholarship is open to students who are enrolled at member AACN schools. Two scholarships are awarded twice a year, each in the amount of $2,500. Application deadlines are January 15th and July 15th. Learn more
14. The Florence (Madden) Grady-Fasick Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund is aimed at providing funds to nursing students who are in their second semester of nursing school or higher. Each year, up to five $2,000 scholarships will be awarded. Applications are accepted until March 30th. Learn more
15. TYLENOL Future Care Scholarship
Each year, several scholarships are awarded to students pursuing degrees in healthcare, including nursing degrees. The scholarship is a one-time award and may be applied to tuition, fees, books, and supplies necessary for the student’s courses. Each applicant’s GPA, academic record, community involvement, and essay will be evaluated to select recipients. Learn more
16. Velma Flies Anderson Scholarship
This scholarship was created by Mrs. Anderson, who graduated from a school of nursing. It is geared toward students who are currently enrolled in their final year of an RN program. The application deadline is March 15th. Learn more
17. Mary Alice Hartigan Scholarship for Nursing
Students pursuing an education in nursing and/or surgical services are encouraged to apply for the Mary Alice Hartigan Scholarship for Nursing. Applicants must maintain a GPA of 2.5. Demonstrating financial need and submitting references are also required to be considered for this award. Learn more
18. Christiana Care Health System: The Ruth Shaw Junior Board Scholarship
Christiana Care Health System is dedicated to helping individuals fulfill their dream of working in healthcare. Nursing student recipients may use the funds of this scholarship to pay for tuition and books. The application submission period is from February to April. Learn more

19. National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN): Hector Gonzalez Past Presidents Scholarship
Hector Gonzalez was a founding member and former president of NAHN, who created this scholarship for nursing students. Although all students are allowed to apply, male students are particularly encouraged to do so. The amount of the scholarship varies each year. Learn more
20. National Association of Hispanic Nurses: NurseThink.com Scholarship
The NurseThink.com Scholarship is for students in graduate school. Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year. 21. A. T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship
Named after the founder of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship offers a $1,000 scholarship for an undergraduate student, and $2,000 scholarship for a graduate student. The candidate must be a tribal member or descendant of a tribal member (American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, or Native Canadian). All applications are due by May 1. 22. American Red Cross Jane Delano Student Nurse Scholarship
This scholarship was created to encourage individuals to work in the nursing field. Volunteers or employees of the Red Cross who are undergraduate or graduate nursing students may apply. The award amount is $3,000, and the applications are due in May. Learn more
23. Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Foundation Scholarship
International and U.S. students who are pursuing a degree in perioperative nursing, with a cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0 are welcome to apply. The application deadline is June 14th. Recipients will receive scholarship checks directly. Learn more
24. Charles Kunz Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship
This scholarship is named after the father of the 2005 president of the Emergency Nurses Association. It is geared toward emergency nurses pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. One award is given each year. Learn more
25. Green Law Firm Nursing Home & Elderly Care Scholarship
With the goal of bettering the care given in nursing homes, Attorney Bill Green offers a $1,500 scholarship to a nursing student who is passionate about elderly care and pursuing an undergraduate degree in nursing. No minimum GPA is required, but the applicant must currently be working in a nursing home/elderly care. An application and essay are required for consideration. Learn more
Armed Forces Nursing Scholarships
26. The Jack E. Barger, Sr. Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund
Applicants of this scholarship must be in active military duty, a veteran, or a child/spouse of either. Additionally, they must be pursuing an undergraduate nursing degree. There will be six $1,000 awards given. Learn more
27. Air Force Nursing Scholarship Program (ICSP)
Candidates must be a current undergraduate sophomore or junior, and a nursing student to apply. The institution you attend must be accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. If you are selected to receive this scholarship, you must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Learn more
28. Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Scholarship
This nursing scholarship is offered to high school or college students who want to serve full-time in the Navy. This award covers up to $180,000 of nursing education. 29. Army Nurse Corps Association Scholarship
U.S. Citizens enrolled in a baccalaureate or graduate nursing program may be eligible for participation in this program. The student’s spouse, parents, or child must be a current or former member of the Army. Each recipient will receive $3,000. Learn more
30. Air Force Nurse Health Profession Scholarship Program (HPSP)
The Air Force Nurse Health Profession Scholarship is dedicated to providing students of various nursing areas with funding for tuition and compulsory fees.
